Ray was one of the silliest and most positive men I've every met, full of laughter and stories. Something unique about the Well's something is their search for nonsense, Ray and Bob are a double act, cut from the same cloth. It meant that their kids are all also utterly ridiculous, I hear so many stories of fun time with the cousins (Paul, Karen, Mike, Susie and Pete) growing up, spending an inordinate amount of time in pub gardens. Their experiences are quite unlike anyone else's because all that mattered was having fun in a uniquely Wells way. I have heard stories of Ray's amazing capabilities, building a house, taking anything on, and being remarkably tough for such a light hearted fella. My only disappointment is that he never took up the opportunity to fit a bathroom at our house, despite me asking him every time I saw him for over 14 years. I know Paul has been well trained to take on the Ray's mantle as one of the most senior Well's men and will dedicate his life to laughter, and continue to strive to new heights of ludicrous. We'll miss you Ray. Simon Young
