Gawaine 9th April 2020

An early memory was of a 'tenting experience' in Cornwall. Having been given a few trout by some friendly fishermen, you were the only one who had the 'guts' to extract the guts, in order that the fish could be cooked and eaten! That was my first experience of your ability to turn your hand to any job, and do it with skill humour and sheer professionalism. I lost count of the times you came to my rescue, after my appalling attempts at D.I.Y. were ending inabject failure. I will miss your company before, during, and after our trips to Stamford Bridge, especially your comments and views on the game in progress. Your passing has left an enormous void in all of our hearts and lives. Thank you for your friendship..... a friendship that endured well over fifty years. You will be sorely missed Gawaine
