Uncle ray... or nunky Ray as you have always been known to me... My favourite uncle, and my dads best friend... you have been around for every step of my life and I can’t believe I won’t see you again. You will leave such a Ray shaped hole in so many lives, but we are all so lucky to have known you and spent time with you creating such a huge amount of happy memories to cherish. My memories of you are numerous, but a few of the main things I will always smile at are... 1. The fact I had a huge fluffy springy orange parrot stuck to my ceiling called nunky ray, and spoke to it all the time during my childhood and always had to say ‘goodnight to nunky ray’. 2. Pub gardens. I think we could have probably saved a lot of money/ time/ transport if our 2 families had just bought a pub together and you’d just let us live in the garden. I wonder how many bags of crisps and glass bottles of 7up with a Straw you have bought me over the years, purely to extend the amount of hours you, julia, mum and dad could stay inside the pub being daft. 3. Family parties. From toddling through to teenage, the wells family love a party, and every occasion can be marked by us kids going feral in a garden, sausage rolls and lots of wine and laughter - and THAT DANCE MOVE !! So many other things I have been thinking about over the past few weeks... but above all your sense of humour, your closeness to family and your smiling face. You will be so missed, and forever remembered with happiness. I Am heartbroken to have to say goodnight to nunky Ray today, but know you would only want to remembered with happiness and smiles, which I’m sure so so many people will be doing. Xxxx susie
